EARTHLINGS...amazing movie narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. It's a must to watch. WARNING: you will cry...and hopefully get empowered to do something positive about the problem.

It helps if you understand that the people doing this to animals do not seem FULLY aware of what they are doing, i.e. they don't see how interconnected we all are. Ignorance is what needs to be addressed here. Only with LOVE and example can we change this. So try not to hate them (as hard as that may seem). I tried extending love to both the innocent animals and seemingly heartless people in the movie. I encourage you to do the same. In that way, animals shown in the movie did not die in vain. This is a painful lesson to humanty...but one worth learning from.
The next step is finding ways to inspire these people to open their hearts so they would not do this (and not pass this attitude onto their kids!). Please help with ideas and suggestions on how to accomplish this.
